We’re all itching to use the term gem. A word that indicates a mystic aura surrounding a dining establishment. One that is not easily found, but when it is, there is a euphoric desire to let the world know but also not let a single human know. This, is one of them. When you go to Japan, sushi is the pinnacle. But how do you find sushi that is amazingly good, inexpensive and most importantly, a local gem? You go to Harukoma Honten. Luckily, you’ll notice a trend as you walk through Osaka; there are gems on any given alley way. At Harukoma Honten, the fish is ridiculously high quality, and a steal. Order the omakase (see photo), a Sapporo, and call your aunt to tell her you won’t be telling her about this place.
